The NPC Laurent in WoW: Shadowlands is causing trouble – as he prevents players from completing their covenant campaign. We reveal where you can find Laurent.
The covenant campaign has been fully playable in WoW: Shadowlands for about a week now. The ninth chapter of all four covenants is accessible once the previous missions have been completed and the reputation with the covenant is high enough. However, Venthyr players are experiencing some issues with the covenant campaign – as it may not progress. We explain how to fix the problem and find the NPC Laurent.
What is the problem? Venthyr players who have completed their campaign up to step 8 of 9 suddenly cannot continue. The quest log only states briefly that one should “rescue Laurent from the Ember District” – without providing any exact information on how and where to do this.
Who is Laurent? Laurent is one of the Venthyr who has been banished to the Ember District. He is essentially irrelevant to the main story, as he only has a side quest line that players can complete for him. However, this quest line is necessary to persuade Laurent to stay in the sinfall area, thereby initiating the final chapter of the Venthyr campaign.

Where can you find Laurent? Laurent will not be displayed as a quest hub on the map by default. He and his quests belong to the side quests in Revendreth, which you need to search for and find. However, Laurent isn’t particularly hidden. If you haven’t completed any tasks for him yet, you can find Laurent at coordinates 26 / 49 in Revendreth.

What needs to be done? Laurent’s quest line is relatively simple. You’ll escort him and collect shards of mirrors that will be used later. After that, you’ll rescue Venthyr from torture devices and ultimately collect shards to create a new mirror. Defend Laurent and his friend during the final battle and you will gain access to a new mirror.
If you have completed all tasks for Laurent, he will henceforth be found in sinfall and the final chapter of the covenant campaign can be completed. The end reward is even a weapon with item level 187, making it particularly rewarding for alts.
