WoW Forever: Frustration-Free Combat with All Classes (Solo and in Dungeons)

If you pull opponents recklessly in classic WoW and just start blasting, you risk the virtual life of your alter ego and the entire group. So turn on your brain and stay alert!

• It takes time until you have access to all the skills of your class. Especially at the beginning, you have few options to control enemies, heal damage, or escape from a threatening situation. Pull carefully from a distance one opponent at a time and always pay attention to your positioning and the respawn of new enemies.
• When pulling spellcasters, use line of sight whenever possible. If an enemy spellcaster can no longer see you, they will rush towards you. Also, keep an eye on your healer’s mana before each pull. Without the blue juice, they can’t heal at all.
• WARNING: Certain types of enemies like humanoids will run away when they are heavily damaged. This can quickly alert nearby counterparts to your presence. So draw the corresponding enemies a little away from the others or be ready with control or burst abilities to prevent their escape.
• Cautious pulling also applies to dungeons! Use control spells such as the transformation from mages, the headbutt from rogues, traps from hunters, or similar options to avoid fighting multiple opponents at once.
• As a healer and damage dealer in group situations like dungeons, hold back until your tank has had a moment to build threat. This is especially lifesaving when multiple enemies are not being controlled by your team.
• Focus on one target with all damage dealers to defeat it quickly together and make it easier for the tank to tank. Only blast in controlled situations and when dealing with many weak enemies, for example.
• Take the time to remove curses, diseases, poisons, or magical debuffs with your cleansing spells. If your damage is slightly lower because of this, it doesn’t matter.
• Each class in WoW can only use a predefined selection of weapons, and for various weapon types, you must first walk to the respective trainer and learn that weapon skill for a fee. Make sure to look out for weapon trainers, especially in the capitals.
• After learning a new weapon, plan a training round against weak opponents. Your skill level starts at 1, so you won’t hit high-level targets even if they are parked right in front of you.
