You start with rudimentary equipment and a small boat and try to get money by catching as many big fish as possible to buy better equipment. You can even upgrade your character like in an MMO.
When fishing, you have to “fight” with the fish, as they have an AI that makes them difficult to pull out of the water. Therefore, you have to develop special strategies for different fish species. The more exotic and rarer the fish you catch, the better your reward will be. But you only catch the truly rare fish at special locations in the world, for which you also need special equipment and boats. In addition, you compete in competitions against other players to show that you are the best angler.
