In Berlin, the first world champion in FC 24 was crowned last weekend, and it’s an old acquaintance: Anders Vejrgang, the FIFA wonder boy, wins the tournament spectacularly.
For the first time, EA Sports invited to the FC Pro World Championship to find out who the truly best FC player on the planet is.
What is the FC World Championship? After the split from FIFA, EA Sports organized its own World Championship for FC 24 with the FC World Championship, which took place for the first time this year.
In Berlin, 32 players had the chance to try their luck. There were 8 groups of 4 participants each, followed by a classic tournament tree with knockout matches. But even after the first matches, a favorite emerged: Anders Vejrgang, who had recently become European champion.
Who is Anders Vejrgang? Anders Vejrgang (18) has been playing FIFA/FC professionally for years and caught attention early on when, at age 14, he established an incredible winning streak in the FIFA Weekend League. He went unbeaten in a staggering 535 matches.
After that, the FIFA world wanted to see him on the big stage, but unfortunately, that was not possible. The Dane was only allowed to participate in tournaments at age 16. And how well that is working for him can currently be witnessed live.
13:0 goals in the semi-final and final show his dominance
This is how the World Cup went for Anders: In the group stage of the tournament, Anders Vejrgang won against Ekmenn94 and NachoAbella by three goals each. Ekmenn94 had to accept a 6:3 defeat and NachoAbella a 5:2.
But things got really crazy starting from the quarter-finals, which the Dane reached after defeating the German Jonny 4:2. There, he faced HHezerS, whom he sent home with 7:2. In the semi-final of the World Cup, xcharifx awaited a duel. The 18-year-old also decided this in his favor – with 6:0. An unbelievable result for a World Cup semi-final.
Surely the final would then be more difficult for the Dane, one would think. But not for Vejrgang. He started the final match against Yuval as usual and was already leading 1:0 in the 14th minute. Four more goals followed quickly, and by halftime, it was already 5:0 in the grand final.
Bittersweet for Yuval, as he could hardly change anything in the second half, leading to a final score of 7:0, with Anders Vejrgang emerging as the happy winner.

What was the prize money? A total of 1 million dollars was awarded in the tournament. Places 5 to 8 received 40,000 dollars each, places 3-4 received 70,000 dollars, and the runner-up took home 150,000 dollars.
Anders Vejrgang receives a proud 250,000 dollars for the victory.
