In the course of an interview with IGN, the expert was asked whether he thinks players will experience GTA 6 at 60 FPS on the PS5 Pro. His answer is likely to be disillusioning for fans of the series. Sony recently announced the release of their latest model, including a price of 800 €.

How likely are 60 FPS for GTA 6?
What is Richard Leadbetter’s assessment? The expert’s assessment is unlikely to be very pleasing for many fans. When asked if he thinks that GTA 6 will run at 60 FPS on the PS5 Pro, he simply replies “no”.
The PS5 Pro features an enhanced GPU that offers up to 45% faster rendering as well as ray-tracing capabilities. Nevertheless, Leadbetter remains skeptical that this new version will be sufficient to bring GTA 6 to 60 FPS.
Another factor he mentions is the CPU of the new Sony console. According to him, GTA games have always utilized complex simulations that heavily tax the CPU, which is why earlier titles launched at 30 FPS or less.
The processor in the PlayStation 5 Pro is the same as the one used in its predecessor. This, according to the expert, is the main reason he believes that achieving 60 FPS in GTA 6 will be challenging.
Does the PS5 Pro also offer advantages for GTA 6? According to Richard Leadbetter, the new console does present an advantage over its predecessor. He states that despite the FPS limitations, he expects GTA 6 to look visually more impressive on the Pro, thanks to the improved GPU.
Rockstar Games has not yet confirmed whether they are aiming for 60 FPS in GTA 6, and the expert sees no signs at present that this may be the case.
