The heist proceeds in such a way that you initially play a few preparation missions. These are partially optional. Depending on your choice, the heist also takes shape.
In the grand finale, you then loot the island.
Solo or in a group: You can complete all missions of this heist and also the finale completely alone. This can be an advantage if your friends are not online, you don’t want to deal with randoms, but still want to play the heist. However, keep in mind that with a group of four players, you can transport more loot and will have a higher payout later on.
Why is it worth it? Heists are a big feature in GTA Online. These are instanced group missions with challenging content. You don’t just play them “on the side,” but have to think about the approach and also put in several attempts. Especially getting used to working with the group can take a bit of time at first. But it’s worth it, because the Cayo Perico heist rewards you with more cash than ever before.
