The first guilds have already won the final battle against Raszageth in WoW: Dragonflight. Here you can see the cinematic that will be shown.
In World of Warcraft, the first season of Dragonflight begins today, on December 14, 2022. In America, it already started last night, so many guilds have already cleared the raid on normal difficulty. Along with this comes the usual “end cinematic,” a video sequence that is played at the end of the fight.
This can be seen in the cinematic: The cutscene plays immediately after the raid successfully manages to put Raszageth the Storm Eater in her place and defeat her. The primal incarnation of the storm lies dead on the ground, Khadgar and Kalec are satisfied that the threat has apparently been halted.
But the joy is short-lived, as it glitters threateningly in the background. The prison of the other primal incarnations has taken too much damage during the fight and is crumbling. Gradually, the three other primal incarnations are freed from their millennia-old prison:
- Vyranoth (Frost)
- Fyrakk (Fire)
- Iridikron (Earth)
Iridikron then declares that “everyone who has betrayed the essence of the dragons to the Titans will feel our wrath.”
Kalec realizes that he, along with Khadgar and the present heroes, has no chance of winning this fight now. The two wizards cast a spell and teleport themselves (and the raid group) to safety at the last moment.
The primal incarnations are thus freed and Raszageth was able to put her plan into action – even if it cost her life.
What does this mean for the future of WoW? With the cinematic, Blizzard is quite directly announcing what the next big bosses of Dragonflight will be – namely the three remaining primal incarnations that will now descend upon the Dragon Isles. Therefore, starting today, the “Primal Storm” events will begin everywhere, where you will fight against elementals and can earn some rewards.
What do you think of the little video at the end of the raid? Interesting that Blizzard is taking such an “obvious” path this time? What are your thoughts on this?
