Patch 10.1 of World of Warcraft Dragonflight is already on the starting blocks, and in a few weeks we will go to the Zaralek Caverns and the new raid Aberrus, the Shadow Crucible. To get in the mood for the new patch, Blizzard has already released the intro cinematic.
What is shown in the cinematic? The cinematic begins with the realms of Ohn’ahra, where a centaur is taking over the night watch. He sees three quickly moving dragons in the sky and then hears a loud crash nearby. When he discovers the source of the noise, he wants to confront the creature – and realizes too late that it is Fyrakk, one of the primal incarnations. The centaur is quickly killed.
Then we see all three remaining primal incarnations. Vyranoth explains that the entrance to Aberrus must be nearby and hidden from view. Vyranoth and Iridikron then use their power to shape the land and allow Fyrakk to open the passage to the Zaralek Caverns. There, Fyrakk is supposed to “wake the ancients from their slumber” and “feast on the elemental powers.”
However, Iridikron has further plans. He hopes that the Dracthyr will explore the secrets of Aberrus and make use of “Neltharion’s legacy” – to unleash various horrors against the aspects.
In the last image, we see the mentioned Dracthyr setting out into the depths as members of the Shardflame.
When does the patch go live? Patch 10.1 Neltharion’s Glare starts on May 3, 2023 – in about 2 weeks. As usual, some content will be delayed a bit. The raid, the second season, and the attacks from Fyrakk will only begin on May 10. This is to allow everyone to play through the story at their own pace before the chase for the World First Kill begins.
