SpongeBob SquarePants is probably one of the most famous cartoon characters in the world and has accompanied many today’s gamers through their childhood. Now Minecraft is getting an official DLC featuring the sponge in square pants and fans of the survival title are over the moon!
What does the trailer show? In the official trailer for the SpongeBob-Minecraft DLC, we see the famous sponge and his friends going through various everyday situations in their hometown Bikini Bottom.

How are the fans reacting? The Minecraft fans are mostly reacting very positively in the comments on YouTube regarding the trailer. The trailer has already over 789,000 views, 40,000 likes, and more than 3,700 comments (as of July 28, 10:30 AM).
A player joked that this SpongeBob-Minecraft DLC is exactly what the gaming industry needs right now. However, most commentators seem very pleased that after all these years with numerous SpongeBob mods, an official DLC is finally being released. It feels like the world was waiting for this collaboration:
