The Valorant pro Sasaki “Fisker” Hideki was one of the players in the Japanese esports team FAV. However, their paths separated at the end of October. The reason was that Fisker had been seeing another woman. The team apparently did not approve of this.
Who is the pro? Fisker, who had been playing for FAV since 2020, could only achieve limited success with his team. In the Japanese tournament “eGG esports challenge,” FAV placed 2nd, earning a prize of 300,000 yen (approximately 2,000 euros).
With the team Crazy Raccoons, Fisker also participated in international tournaments, where the team was eliminated in the group stage. Nevertheless, Fisker is considered one of the idols for Valorant esports fans in Japan.
What did Fisker do? As the Japanese magazine Shūkan Bunshun reports, Fisker is said to have had several arguments with his team. These reportedly revolved around “issues with women.”
Fisker is said to have cheated on his wife, with whom he had a two-year-old child at the time and who was pregnant with a second child. He reportedly confessed to some of his teammates about the infidelity.
The pro initially denied the allegations but admitted at the end of October that he had been seeing another woman. As a result, he was excluded from the team management (via Twitter).
Valorant is making significant efforts in esports. The most important tournament has even received its own anthem:
Pro team kicks Fisker out, another team does not want him
FAV accuses Fisker of adultery as “breach of contract,” which is why the team separated from the pro. However, Fisker explained in a statement on Twitter that he and his wife had actually been separated for some time. They had even considered a formal divorce.
Nevertheless, the pro regrets disappointing his fans. According to reports, he had originally planned to continue in Japanese esports and play for the FENNEL team in the future. However, FENNEL stated in a statement (via Twitter) that it had no interest in signing Fisker.
Fisker currently has no plans to end his career, but is currently teamless. As the pro is half-Brazilian and speaks Portuguese, his career could also continue in another country.
Excluding someone completely from teams due to adultery is rather rare in the West. Whether Fisker can continue his career remains uncertain. There have already been significantly more tragic cases:
