In Valorant, there are practical teleporters on the Bind map. However, these devices can become an insurmountable death trap for attackers when the following situations occur.
What’s the deal with the Bind map and the teleporters? Bind is a map in the beta of Valorant. Unique to this map are two teleporters. They can only be used from one side and teleport you into a chamber with a door that can only be opened from the inside.
So, it’s a one-way street. And that’s exactly what three clever defenders took advantage of, teaching an attacking team a nasty lesson that is currently making the community laugh on reddit.
This is how the teleport death trap works
What’s so dangerous about the teleporter situation? During a round of Valorant, there was a skirmish in the teleporter room at the beginning of the round. A defender happened to encounter an attacker there, whom he took down with a well-aimed shot from his Shorty shotgun.
But the attacker had the spike with her. This “bomb” is essential for the attackers’ victory. If they don’t plant the spike within 100 seconds, they lose the round and the defenders win.
As mentioned, you can only enter the teleport chamber if you use the teleporter. So, the attackers could only get into the chamber in one way. Meanwhile, a player opened the chamber from the inside and let his two buddies in.
They then blocked the exit as the only escape route with an ice wall and aimed at the spot where the attackers would appear after the teleport.
This is how the nasty defenders secured the victory: The attackers had no choice; if they didn’t want to lose the round, they had to get the spike out of the teleport chamber. But every time one of them came in, he was immediately taken down.
The teleport chamber became a slaughterhouse, and the defenders could hardly believe their luck. Amid loud laughter, they shot the enemies down like rabbits!
“Welcome to hell!” one of the defenders remarked gleefully.
This is how the death trap could have been countered: Only the last opponent could have salvaged the situation. It was the controversial heroine Raze, who could have turned all the defenders into minced meat with a well-aimed grenade in the teleporter.
Unfortunately, she must have already wasted all her grenades beforehand, so she could only send in the bomb drone, which also quickly met its demise. Raze herself soon became the last victim of the nasty teleport campers.
And the moral of the story? Whenever you’re lucky enough that your opponent loses the spike in the teleport room, secure the room and set up a similar death trap. But watch out if Raze is still in the game and has grenades, or if one of the enemy agents has an area damage ultimate like Sova’s or Brimstone’s.
