What’s going on with Valorant? After the ongoing beta test of Valorant went offline last week, the game celebrates its official release today, on 02.06.
Since 7 AM, the servers have been running, and you can download the hero shooter for free and get started. But will you do that?
Prior to this, there was a lot of buzz around Valorant. This was mostly due to Riot’s unusual marketing strategy. Beta keys for the tactical shooter were randomly distributed via Twitch Drops to those who watched Valorant gameplay on various Twitch channels.
- On one hand, this caused the shooter to quickly gain a lot of attention.
- On the other hand, there was trouble over key farming bots, purchased accounts, and channels running replays 24 hours a day.
The strong presence on Twitch mainly gave players the opportunity to get a better picture of Valorant.
Even though a lot has changed with the release and new content like Agent Reyna has been added, we know what kind of gameplay Valorant offers its players.
