The new patch 1.11 for Valorant has been rolled back. It was live for only a few hours during which players found serious bugs. Now it is being worked on again.
What is this rollback? Riot Games decided to perform a rollback for Valorant just a few hours after the release of patch 1.11. The patch introduced the new healer Skye, but it was taken down from the servers. Players are now using the old version, patch 1.10.
This happened after several users reported bugs with the new version. Keeping the qualifiers for the First Strike tournament in mind, Riot decided to roll back the new patch. Players will play with the existing version for now until patch 1.11 is fixed. The update was initially live only in NA, BR, and LATAM.
Gigantic faces on the screen – Hilarious bugs
These bugs were in the patch: The bugs ranged from poor performance to crazy scenes in the game. Performance issues included lag when enemies appeared.
A clip from Josh “Steel” Nissan, a player at 100 Thieves, shows such a funny situation. As he steps into Omen’s smoke, a gigantic texture of Sage suddenly appears on the screen.
In the webcam, a surprised Steel can be seen asking “What is that?” before bursting into laughter.
As soon as he enters the smoke grenade, the giant face and parts of the equipment appear scattered all over the screen.
But that shouldn’t be the last bug Steel finds in the new patch. In another bug, teammates moved strangely. Steel compares it to dolphins jumping out of the water into the air.
If the professionals had to compete with these bugs in the First Strike tournament qualifiers, it would have been a big disadvantage.
How Riot Games responded to the issues
Patch disappears from the live servers: The developers at Riot Games acted quickly and removed patch 1.11 from the live servers. It will not be released until the patch is fixed. For now, you will continue playing with patch 1.10.
Currently, it is expected that the patch will be released later this week.
They also explain: If you have already started with the missions for Skye, you cannot continue without patch 1.11.
You will not lose your progress made so far. This was explained by RiotZiegler on Twitter.
In the professional scene of the shooter, a lot is happening even without the new patch.
The first professional team in Valorant consisting only of women has big plans. They want to break down barriers. The women’s team has already achieved successes, winning a tournament in September and securing $25,000.
