In Valorant, a player brazenly used an aimbot during a tournament. This was immediately noticed by viewers and moderators, and the cheater was kicked out of the $2,000 TGS Signature Series tournament.
Who cheated and how? The player under the name Ryut was part of Team Tokyo in the TGS Signature Series tournament. They were competing for a $2,000 prize.
However, in the quarter-finals, it was noticed that Ryut was sneaking through the double doors on the map Haven, targeting the opponent’s head with his crosshair in a very direct manner. Ryut could not have known that there was an enemy there. His crosshair was also somewhere else when suddenly the aimbot he was presumably using snapped directly to the opponent’s head.
Nevertheless, Ryut was too slow, as despite the aimbot, his opponent managed to take him down in time. The cheating was clearly obvious, and immediately accusations of cheating emerged in the chat.
Cheater kicked from tournament and deletes social media
Here were the consequences: Right at the end of the round, which Team Tokyo unfortunately lost despite their cheater, the justified ban for Ryut was issued, and the cheater was forcefully removed from the game.
A clip of the cheating quickly circulated on Twitter. The fact that someone could so brazenly and obviously cheat in a tournament in front of numerous viewers, and then get kicked out, provided ample fodder for many Valorant fans, who mocked Ryut’s foolishness.
By the way, he has since deleted his Twitter account and will probably no longer play Valorant. Because once banned, due to hardware bans, he will no longer have any chance with his current setup to play the game.
The Valorant developers from Riot Games show no mercy when it comes to cheating. Thanks to the strict anti-cheat software Vanguard, many cheaters were banned during the beta. Many of them never got a second chance and were unable to play Valorant at the release. Even pathetic begging before the Riot CEO did not help.
