In Valorant, you might encounter streaming professionals like shroud in regular matches and likely end up failing miserably. Or you could do it like this 15-year-old player who single-handedly took out 2 professionals and their entire team without batting an eye.
Who is it about? The 15-year-old Valorant player and up-and-coming streamer MrAustino was just trying to stream some Valorant, but then he came across a team that included the rising streamer Just9n (over 600,000 followers, trending upward) and top streamer Michael “shroud” Grzesiek. They completely dominated MrAustino and his team, winning round after round.
And in the round shown here, things were actually already over. All of MrAustino’s teammates were dead, only he was left, and the enemy team was still almost intact.
Young player stays cool, kills them all
This is how it went on: MrAustino was the last one standing and had an Operator as a weapon. This is a super powerful sniper rifle that can reliably take out opponents with one shot. Basically the AWP of Valorant.
And this one-shot potential was brutally exploited by the young player. He kept his nerves, stealthily moved through the map, and whenever an opponent appeared, he methodically took them out immediately. The match turned into a shooting gallery, as whenever an opponent showed up, they shortly thereafter had a bullet in their face.
Even shroud didn’t stand a chance. Even when the previously dead Just9n was revived, it was just another kill for MrAustino. He single-handedly took out the entire 5-man team on the other side and secured an epic victory.
These were the reactions: It was remarkable that MrAustino showed no emotion throughout the entire action. He worked his way through the game like a clock and kept his cool. Only at the very end, when the game was won, did the tension ease off him and he showed noticeable joy.
His team, meanwhile, was ecstatic and encouraged him to save the round as a clip. “Yes, this is a clip, 100%. My heart is racing like crazy, holy shit!” were his words about the action.
Even the opponent was impressed. “He’s totally insane,” was shroud’s reaction in the chatroom to MrAustino’s performance.
These were the consequences: MrAustino may be a good player, but his Twitch channel wasn’t often visited. The viewer count of his clips was usually in the double digits. However, the clip of his action against shroud and company has already been viewed over 100,000 times.
Additionally, his followers increased from 150 to over 800 in just one day (via Twitch Tracker). That may seem small compared to top streamers with millions of followers, but even they started small.
Shroud is still enthusiastic about Valorant and sees the game and the entire shooter genre as being in a golden age. Therefore, he believes that Riot’s team shooter can last for another 10 years and succeed.
