A buyer just wanted to install his new RTX 5060 Ti. But after unpacking, he could hardly believe his eyes: the graphics card, however, has a Radeon inscription from AMD.
What exactly was swapped? The US hardware manufacturer Gigabyte has apparently accidentally swapped components of two different graphics cards. According to a post on Reddit, a user received a GeForce RTX 5060 Ti – but with a cooler housing that clearly reads “Radeon”.
Technically, the card seems to function completely correctly. Under the cooler, the expected NVIDIA hardware still works. Only the outer casing is apparently affected.
The user writes about it:
As far as I can tell, it is technically not a printing error. Gigabyte uses the same casing for Radeon and GeForce cards, so the parts are physically interchangeable. Apparently, a Radeon side panel was accidentally mounted on a GeForce card in the factory. The backplate says GIGABYTE / GEFORCE RTX, on the side mount RADEON.

The card itself is definitely an RTX 5060 Ti, everything else is fine. Only the cover is incorrect.
What makes the whole thing even more curious: According to the report from Wccftech, there was already a reversed case a few months ago. Back then, another user apparently received a Radeon card with GeForce branding. Some now suspect that both cards are part of the same production error (Reddit).
Community takes it with humor
How does the community react to the error? In the comments on Reddit, many users take the error surprisingly calmly. Instead of being upset about the incorrect labeling, there are mainly jokes and even enthusiasm about the unusual card.
- The user Bill-T-O-Double-P writes:
You have a unique item. Cool.
- Also, King_ferdinand1 finds the swapped casing more charming than problematic:
That’s special, keep it.
- TheBlueCable:
As long as it works as expected, I would keep it from a collector’s perspective. I find such unique things pretty cool!
- Similarly, user RailGun256 thinks:
Actually, it’s pretty cool, as long as you weren’t cheated on the chip and VRAM.

What do you think of this curious production error? Would you keep the unusual RTX 5060 Ti, since it is somewhat a unique item and thus a collector’s piece?
While this buyer wonders about an accidentally swapped graphics card casing, another user recently made a completely different hardware find: He bought an old PC at the pawn shop. The community later found out that the RAM alone was probably worth more than the entire computer: A gaming PC at a bargain price
