A small update surprisingly brought a new weapon to Call of Duty: Warzone. With the LAHS LMG, you have a new Light Machine Gun in the game, and MeinMMO shows you how to get the weapon from Modern Warfare and what it can do.
What’s going on? The LAHS MG was added through a small update, which is known as “RAAL LMG” in the English version. The weapon was already known because it was available as one of three guns in the survival mode of Modern Warfare, but it could not be used in public matches or Warzone until now. The other two weapons were:
- Sykov Pistol
- CX-9 Submachine Gun
Now you have access to all 3 weapons in Warzone, and this should be the final small content boost from Modern Warfare for Warzone. We will show you how to get the LAHS MG and what it can do here.
Warzone: Unlock LAHS MG & Patch Notes Update 1.41
How do I get the LAHS MG? To secure the new weapon, you must complete a task. You can do this either in Warzone or in the multiplayer of Modern Warfare:
- Get 5 kills with LMGs while using the “Scout Combat Scope” – In 7 different matches
The task should work fastest in multiplayer. It is important that you use the right scope – the Scout Combat Scope. If you go for small, quick matches to complete the task, the LMG Bruen or the SA87 are suitable for the kills because both LMGs can be equipped like a fast assault rifle.
But even in the Warzone mode of Plunder, the task should be doable with a bit of patience. Whether in multiplayer or in Plunder: If you are sure that you have the kills together, you can leave the match early and start a new one.

What can the new weapon do? The first players have already reached max level with the LMG and confirm that the LAHS MG has solid base stats. The weapon integrates well with the other available LMGs without being too weak or too strong.
You will get a very stable weapon with a large magazine, which achieves a Time to Kill (TTK) of 650 milliseconds for chest shots – an average value. This value also applies to the second damage range for chest shots, which starts at 39 meters without attachments.
In a firefight, you also have to account for the Open-Bolt Delay – an additional 60 milliseconds. The new LMG also has a very high bullet velocity of over 1,200 meters/second with the right attachments.
However, the usual disadvantages of an LMG come into play – low mobility in terms of slow movement speed and very long reload times for the large magazines.
What should you know about the patch notes? Although a “real” update came even on PlayStation, the patch notes are sparse. Normally, a backend solution would be obvious in this case, but Update 1.41 brought the new LMG and repaired a feature that caused trouble at the beginning of Season 4:
- You can now adjust your loadouts during matches – Applies to the multiplayer of CoD MW as well
Warzone: LAHS MG setup for your new laser
What does a strong setup look like? Maximize bullet velocity with your setup, attach a decent scope for your long shot kills, and help a bit with recoil and aiming speed. You can improve the LAHS in many areas to possibly make the new weapon your next favorite LMG.
- Muzzle: LAHS Monocore
- Barrel: 32.0″ LAHS Linebreaker
- Laser: Tactical Laser
- Scope: VLK 3.0x Sight
- Underbarrel: FSS, angled
The setup was presented by CoD expert “JGOD” on YouTube. If you want to see more details about the stats and some gameplay of the weapon, check out JGOD’s English YouTube video (via YouTube).
With the LAHS MG, the last weapon from Modern Warfare is likely coming to Warzone, expanding the arsenal with a stable LMG with the usual pros and cons of the potent weapon class. The LAHS does not appear to be an overpowered weapon, but LMG enthusiasts should level up the weapon – it could be worth it.
Through Season 5 of Warzone, a total of 5 new weapons will come into play. You can find information on the other 4 new weapons here.
