While preparations for the new season of 7 vs. Wild are already underway, the founders of the show have started a new project that could be even tougher than the survival show.
What is this project? After leaving 7 vs. Wild, co-founders Maximilian Kovacs and Johannes Hovekamp became quiet. The latter recently launched his own YouTube channel and promised to take on new projects.
The first project after 7 vs. Wild has now been introduced in collaboration with Otto Bulletproof and is set to be extremely tough. Under the title “Ultimate Run,” candidates in 2-person teams must run 48 times 4.5 kilometers within 48 hours. Every hour, a distance of 4.5 kilometers must be completed, regardless of day, night, rain, or heat.
Breaks are only allowed for the candidate who is not running the distance for the team. They can rest as long as their teammate is running the distance. So, there are at least a few hours of downtime for the participants, but it gets even tougher.
Even Knossi will be there as a guest:
Difficulty Level: Extreme
What challenges await? As if the 216 kilometers that the teams must collectively run in 48 hours aren’t enough, there are additional challenges that complicate the route. Inventor Johannes Hovekamp has devised several obstacles that must be overcome.
In the video on YouTube, obstacles such as a climbing wall are introduced, which candidates must climb over. Another hurdle consists of a water basin and pipes, through which candidates must pull themselves up with ropes.
Other obstacles are only hinted at so far; among them could be a tunnel with tear gas, an electrified crawling obstacle, an obstacle course over tree trunks, and another water obstacle.
As if that weren’t enough, there is a round modifier that makes each round more difficult.
Who is participating? The challenge seems extremely difficult, so the candidates need to be fit as they face the run between April 24 and April 26, 2026. Among others, former 7 vs. Wild participants Joey Kelly, Survival_Mattin, Otto Bulletproof, and Sascha Huber will be participants.
Teams from the police, fire brigade, and Bundeswehr will also be competing. The presentation will be handled by “7 vs. Wild” founders Fritz Meinecke, “The Race” founder Dave, and former 7 vs. Wild participant StarletNova. Knossi and his partner Lia will also be present as guests.
The YouTube livestream will run from April 24 to April 26, 2026, and will likely attract even more candidates. The connections to the outdoor world of YouTube provide an exciting field of participants from different areas, which could almost become a reunion for fans of 7 vs. Wild.
While the founders of 7 vs. Wild offer a new challenge after years, ensuring a reunion with familiar faces, there are also some news regarding 7 vs. Wild itself: New face of 7 vs. Wild wants to redeem the series: “The last seasons were not that great anymore”
