On Twitter, there is currently a discussion about a player’s gameplay. It showcases insane movement from the beta of Modern Warfare 2. Some are amazed by the abilities, while others are angry that such scenes exist in the latest CoD. The third faction is just insulting.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is coming to stores on October 28 and is currently in the beta phase. In the first week, PlayStation players will have access, and the following week, the beta gates will open for all platforms.
There is already a ton of gameplay available on YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter – but particularly one player stands out in the community. The Twitch streamer “zurly9”. He has posted insane gameplay, and now a discussion has erupted in the community about whether it is cool or crazy.

CoD MW2: Gameplay divides the Community
What gameplay are we talking about? The following clip is causing a stir:
The clip has been shared by large CoD accounts on Twitter, such as CharlieIntel, quickly reaching a broad audience. The streamer has shared another clip:
It showcases very active gameplay with many movement tricks and quick movements. Additionally, the MP5 is used (Lachmann-MP), which you can only obtain through a trick:
How are players reacting to this? The reactions are very varied. Overall, there are 3 factions that are jumping on the clips.
There are players who are fascinated by such scenes. They celebrate the gameplay and see it as an encouragement to improve themselves:
- @dnsNO22 on Twitter: ‘This guy is insane, an absolute sweat. His crosshair handling is on point, his predictions and aim focus are crazy. This controller player probably has better skills than 70% of us on PC. I understand why people complain about someone like him.’
- @Ando_Drago on Twitter: ‘Full respect for this player. He is focused, kills the entire enemy team. A perfect example of a CoD elite-level player.’
- @ReeceJHCOD on Twitter: ‘I am honestly impressed. I wish I could play like that. But I am slow and don’t care about anything.’
On the other side, there are users who do not celebrate this type of gameplay at all. For them, the constant hopping, Slide-Canceling, Flicking is one step too far. They simply don’t want to see something like this in Call of Duty:

- @Passione_Arts on Twitter: ‘Anyone who plays like that should be banned. They are not good. They exploit tryhard maneuvers, which gives them a lot of kills, rather than developing actual skill.’
- @jkeene21 on Twitter: ‘This is the reason for me to never buy a CoD. What the hell?’
However, the largest group are users who directly confront the player zurly. Many become personal, complain about the playstyle, or mock the player.
- @Repthyle on Twitter: ‘If you really play like that, you should seek help.’
- @Unknown3568958 on Twitter: ‘Why do you play like that? For a high K/D? For your nonexistent viewers on Twitch? I mean, come on, this won’t get you ahead in life? Have fun with that!’
- @Musketeer120 on Twitter: You need to realize that no one is impressed when you waste hours of your life perfecting your movement. The only thing you achieve is that people think you have no life. Good job!’
