The Twitch streamer Imane “Pokimane” Anys has achieved one of the highest ranks in the shooter Valorant . Now she has to hear on Twitter that she was only pushed there. One user even says it’s only because of her good PC.
This is what Pokimane has achieved: We reported on MeinMMO that the Twitch streamer managed to reach the rank “Immortal” in Valorant on September 18. Only 0.5% of all players achieve this.
This is what she has to hear since then: Again and again, users on Twitter claim that Pokimane was only “boosted” to the rank: This is what it’s called when a weak player plays with a strong player and lets them do everything.
The streamer seems bewildered and annoyed that she is confronted with such accusations, especially from people who have not seen her play at all.

Others have pointed out: Valorant must be very easy if even someone like Pokimane can achieve that.
This is what the streamer says: She rejects such accusations. She says she has been playing Valorant since the beta, has already achieved the rank “Diamond” multiple times, and has three accounts for Ranked.
She now has to use all her willpower to not publicly argue with people.
“You only have the highest rank because you play on a really good PC”
Dat is the most brazen accusation: Pokimane is particularly amused by a tweet that says: She only has such a high rank in Valorant because she owns a “very good PC”.
This is what it’s about: Apparently, the accusations that Pokimane has been boosted carry the idea that “girls can’t play shooters.”
This is already strange because there are outstanding good female players in Valorant. Pokimane has also repeatedly shown in the past that she can definitely hold her own in shooters – certainly not at eSports level, but hardly any of the male influencers can claim that.
