The Twitch streamer and YouTuber Sterzik has given the anime Attack on Titan a chance on recommendation. However, when he talks about his experience, he says something that might bring the entire fanbase against him.
How does the streamer express himself about Attack on Titan? Sterzik reports, as seen in a clip on TikTok, about his first experience with the anime Attack on Titan. He intended to watch one episode, which turned into directly 10 episodes back to back.
He praises the story of the anime, which he finds super interesting. However, he then proceeds – after consistently confusing the title with Attack “of” Titan after the first proper pronunciation – to use the agitated emotions of the anime as a countermeasure against his conversation partner:
“The entire series is so cringe!”

For what argument does Sterzik use Attack on Titan? In conversation with the streamer Mahluna – which is getting progressively louder in the heat of fan combat – he asks her how she could ever label a scene from The Lord of the Rings as cringe, but not Attack on Titan.
How the F- do you say at the scene from The Lord of the Rings – where Éowyn kills the Witch King – how do you say that it’s cringe?! And Attack [on] Titan is not cringe, right?
Mahluna begins to defend herself, saying that she does not find The Lord of the Rings as a whole cringe and that emotions need to be conveyed, but by then Sterzik is already succumbing to the emotions that The Lord of the Rings awakens in him:
Shall I tell you how to convey emotions? By setting up a camera, putting dozens of soldiers on a field on horses, preparing with a horse, and saying: “A day of blood!”

Fans of Attack on Titan must visibly restrain themselves in the comments that the streamer simply has to keep watching for such scenes.
However, they don’t have to argue much, because Sterzik’s conclusion after the exchange is: “Yeah, so I’m probably going to watch the first season now.”
