You have just started with Throne and Liberty and are looking for a German guide for a build that will serve you well in the damage dealer role after the leveling phase? MeinMMO has a strong recommendation for you!
We had already recommended a beginner build for the leveling phase for Throne and Liberty, which focuses on one-handed swords, shields, and two-handed weapons. But what if you’re looking for strong build recommendations for the specific roles of tank, healer, or damage dealer?
Well, then you’re in the right place! Below we present a build for aspiring damage experts. Build suggestions for healers and tanks can be found in the following articles:
All builds focus on strong weapon combinations and shine especially in PvE challenges for groups such as dungeons and raids.
Here you see the launch trailer of Throne and Liberty:
Build for DPS (Damage Dealer)
In the DPS builds, there are, unsurprisingly, the most options that achieve strong damage values in PvE. We would like to recommend a playstyle with crossbows and daggers (Scorpion), which has the greatest single-target damage potential of all specializations.
Advantages of the build:
- The greatest potential for maximum single-target damage
- Strong burst phase
- High mobility
- Focuses on melee and ranged combat
- Removes disruptive control effects
- Diverse group buffs for hit chance, critical chance, mana regeneration, and cooldown reduction
Disadvantages of the build:
- High mana consumption
- In close combat, you may lose track of things
How to Increase Your Stats
Agility and wisdom are essential for this playstyle. Aim for 50 points in both stats in the long term to equally increase your damage and mana efficiency, activating useful bonuses. If you also reach 40 perception, you will be perfectly set up. You should only increase strength if you need a larger health pool.
Selection of Active Skills
Use the following active skills with the indicated enhancements:
- Defense: Blocking Blade
- Rapid Fire (with Gale, Minimal Chain Fire and cooldown)
- Splitting Moonlight (with Consecutive Use and Attack Speed Increase)
- Brutal Cut (Thundercloud Bombardment and cooldown reduction)
- Poison Injection (with Lightning Penetration)
- Swift Leap (with Consecutive Use and Cooldown Reset)
- Mother Nature’s Protest (with Lightning Arrow)
- Mana Exchange (with improved ability effect)
- Throwing Knives
- Deadly Stigma (with Damage Increase)
- Selfless Dispersion
- Deadly Curse (with Detonating Curse)
- Weak Point Shot
Selection of Passive Skills
Up to eight passive skills can be activated at level 50. Here is our recommendation:
- Bloodthirst
- Power of Nature
- Dual Wielding
- Piercing Strike
- Assassin’s Instinct
- Raging Blade
- Tooth of Destruction
- Murderous Energy
How to Upgrade Your Skills
During the leveling phase, you are allowed to upgrade your skills using growth books. Prioritize the skills as follows, making sure to get the mentioned abilities to blue before aiming for purple levels:
Active skills:
- Blocking Blade
- Rapid Fire
- Splitting Moonlight
- Brutal Cut
- Poison Injection
- Selfless Dispersion
- Mana Exchange
Passive skills:
- Assassin’s Instinct
- Raging Blade
- Power of Nature
- Tooth of Destruction
- Piercing Strike
- Dual Wielding
- Bloodthirst
All other skills you use can subsequently be upgraded according to your preference.
Playstyle for Boss Fights
Your highest priority is to activate the effects of Poison Injection, Mother Nature’s Protest, Selfless Dispersion, and Deadly Stigma. After that, follow up with Deadly Curse, Splitting Moonlight, Rapid Fire, Brutal Cut, and Throwing Knives.
The Weak Point Shot is best used when your opponent is initiating a Wu attack. Counter the opponent’s attack in time with Blocking Blade. Also important: Do NOT use your second charge of Splitting Moonlight to avoid losing the buff for your attack speed.
Activate Mana Exchange repeatedly whenever your health allows, to boost your mana supply. With Swift Leap, you can not only dodge dangerous areas but also reset the cooldown of Rapid Fire if all other abilities are not ready.
That’s it, our build recommendation for the role of damage dealer in Throne and Liberty. Which builds are you currently enjoying playing? If you want to experiment a bit with skills and enhancements, check this out: Skill Builder – Where can I build or find player builds for Throne and Liberty?
