In Throne and Liberty, DPS is very important in dungeons or against world bosses, which raises the question for some players about whether there is a DPS meter or addons for damage measurement. MeinMMO has the answer for you.
Is there a DPS meter or addons in Throne and Liberty? Unfortunately, Throne and Liberty currently does not include a DPS meter. So if you go into cooperative dungeons, you cannot see who has dealt the most damage or who was the best healer in the team.
Addons for reading the damage dealt by the group have not yet been developed for the game either. Apparently, the APIs of Throne and Liberty do not support this yet. However, MeinMMO presents you with an alternative.

How can you test your damage? Unfortunately, there is currently neither a DPS meter in the game nor the option to add one via an addon. However, in some peaceful zones in Throne and Liberty, there are dummies in the cities where you could measure your damage.
To do this, you take one of the dummies, set a timer on your phone for one minute, and try to deal as much damage as possible. At the end, you see how many hit points you deducted from the dummy. This way, you can improve your rotation or compare your damage with your friends.
Is a DPS meter really necessary?
Who needs a DPS meter? In some games, like the Gacha MMORPG Tower of Fantasy, there is a DPS meter to compare the damage done during raids. This stirs up competitive thinking very much. Players regularly compare their damage output. However, this can also lead to toxic behavior within the player community.
Many players are therefore also against a DPS meter. There are heated discussions on Reddit and in the Steam community:
- tinnkerbull1990 is for a DPS meter (via Reddit): “I don’t understand why people hate DPS meters. I want to know if I’m doing a good job or not, and I also want to know if the people in my group are good.”

- Bommbi wants clarity (via Reddit): “A DPS display is a good thing. I want to know how I’m doing and how my teammates are doing. If the fight is harder than it should be due to lack of damage, I want to know who the traitor is.”
Will there be a DPS meter in the future? One way to satisfy both sides would be to have a DPS display only for the damage dealt by the player themselves. This way, weaker players would not be showcased, and strong players could not boast about their damage in cooperative dungeons so overtly.
In addition, this could allow players to continuously work on their damage output, as they would always have a direct view of how much damage they deal to enemies – without other players seeing it. Then they wouldn’t have to spend all their time at the dummy just to test their own damage.
However, whether a DPS display will be integrated into the game is still open. Currently, there is no official information on this topic. MeinMMO will update this article as soon as new details become known.
