What happened? EA Sports has announced a reopening of the Weekend League in FIFA 19 via an in-game message in FIFA 19 Ultimate Team. The start is on March 20, 2020.
The FIFA YouTuber Bateson87 came across the in-game message when he fired up FIFA 19 again.
According to EA Sports, players should have a final opportunity to collect missing Weekend League successes:
Why is EA doing this? Besides the message in the game itself, EA Sports has not commented further. However, it is curious, as such a thing has never happened in any FUT installment before. Once the FUT Champions Weekend League has ended, it usually stays that way.
Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that the announcement could be a mistake.
Qualification and Rewards
How does one qualify? If you log into FUT 19, you will see that you do not need to collect points for qualification. You can register directly for the upcoming Weekend League.
What rewards will there be? Nothing is yet known about the rewards. However, it is likely that there will not be any Inform cards, as there is currently no Team of the Week in FIFA 20.
