Currently, the Sauercrowd event in WoW Classic is extremely popular on Twitch. However, the organizers face a major challenge because many streamers are cheating.
What are the rules of the event? The Sauercrowd event in WoW Classic takes place on a hardcore server. If you die, you must level up a new character from the beginning and lose all your progress.
Additionally, there is a restriction that you cannot accept help or any interaction with other players outside of your own guild. There is a dedicated addon that controls trading, mail, and groups.
Moreover, using an optimized leveling route to reach the endgame as smoothly as possible is prohibited. Yet, the rules are repeatedly broken by the streamers.
Rule Break after Rule Break
What rule breaks have occurred? The story of rule breaks began even before the actual event. Initially, co-organizer Papaplatte tried to circumvent the rule of optimized leveling routes with an overhead projector.
When the project started, Lol streamer NoWay was already negatively noted on the first day. He took help from other players to gain an advantage.
The project management punished the actions of the streamer, although he initially did not want to accept the penalty. But this is just one of many examples where the rules are not fully followed by the streamers.
What is the status of the rules? In a new clip on YouTube, you see Papaplatte watching the streamer Sunglitters cheat. She is in a precarious situation and types “Help” in the chat, after which her viewers rush to help her to avoid death.
This babysitting by viewers is difficult to prevent, but the direct request to the viewers to save the streamer from death is prohibited. The rules clearly state: “Playing with other characters outside the guild is forbidden.”
How does Papaplatte react to the clip? Co-organizer Papaplatte finds the behavior of the streamer wrong. He says, “The [rule violations] are increasing. We need to discuss this again tomorrow.”
Papaplatte wants to address the issue with the other organizers and find a solution. The outcome of the discussion is not yet known.
The Sauercrowd event is currently captivating all of Twitch Germany. Meanwhile, internationally, MrBeast is causing trouble with a Minecraft video, as the organization behind it apparently went horribly wrong: MrBeast has girls compete against boys in Minecraft, but one participant says: 30% of the girls were guys.
