An exciting week for fans of Call of Duty is coming: On September 15, CoD will launch the reveal event “CoD Next” and on September 16, the beta of Modern Warfare 2 goes online. You can find all dates and important information here on MeinMMO.
What dates are coming up? Call of Duty is going all out this week: In a large event, two new titles will be presented in detail for the first time, and the multiplayer of Modern Warfare 2 will also be in the spotlight.

CoD Next: Event reveals Warzone title and multiplayer mode
When is the event? In our timezone, CoD Next starts on Thursday, September 15 at 6:30 PM. The event can be followed on YouTube and Twitch:

What can we expect to see at the event? At the reveal event, three major announcements will be the focus:
- Multiplayer mode of Modern Warfare 2
- CoD Warzone 2 – Release announced for this year
- CoD Warzone Mobile – First images from the game
Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28 and will feature an extensive presentation of the multiplayer mode at the event. Additionally, there will be information about the new Warzone games.
There could also be some surprises. A leak about a subscription service for CoD has been circulating in the community for some time. Announcements related to the Xbox Game Pass could also be possible. The CoD zombie community is also eagerly awaiting new announcements.
However, the only certain announcements are those for the three titles mentioned above.
CoD MW2 PlayStation Beta: The dates for the first week
When does the beta start? The testing phase will run over two weekends, and in the first week, only players on PlayStation will have access.
- Early Access: September 16 – 17
- Open Beta 1: September 18 – 20
- A specific time has not been announced yet

What can be tested? A test of the multiplayer mode will take place, but the exact contents are still unknown. Among other things, the new map Grand Prix, a Formula 1 racetrack is said to be playable.
The beta of the predecessor Vanguard offered a total of 6 modes on 4 maps in 2021.
When does the second beta start? For the other platforms Xbox One, Xbox Series, Steam, and Battle.net, it will not start until September 22. For players on PlayStation, the second weekend will be a complete open beta:
