In The Elder Scrolls Online, players have been struggling with lags and disruptions in the PvP zone of Cyrodiil for a while now, and they are lowering the maximum population in the PvP zone to tackle the problems.
The fantasy MMO The Elder Scrolls Online (TESO) has a somewhat rocky record when it comes to technical issues. After a major content update, users experienced technical difficulties. For some time now, players have been dealing with performance drops in Cyrodiil.
Now they have found a new approach to solve the issues: they are temporarily lowering the maximum allowed player count. Particularly the “Thornblade” campaigns on both servers seem to be straining performance. Three months ago, TESO revamped the campaign system with update 4 to attract more players to Cyrodiil. The 30-day campaign for all “Thornblade” seems to be the most popular.
The changes are now in effect. Besides this attempt, Zenimax also intends to explore other ways to improve performance in Cyrodiil.
