In The Division, a new strategic mission starts today, which can be completed within the next 7 days. But where is the challenge mode of the raid “Clear Sky”?
Before update 1.2, Massive emphasized several times that at launch only the hard mode of “Clear Sky” would be available. Only a week later could this raid also be played on “Challenging”.
Today marks exactly two weeks since the launch of the conflict update – and still, there is no sign of the challenge mode. Agents rightfully wonder: “What is going on?” After all, we are already approaching mid-June, and the May update content is still missing.
It was initially planned for the challenge mode to go live after last Thursday’s regular maintenance. However, the patch had severe issues, prompting the developers to pull the plug, cancel the patch spontaneously, and also put the new difficulty level of “Clear Sky” on hold. And that is where the challenge mode still remains – however, the patch in a scaled-down version was released just a day later.
Presumably, Massive is also planning a renewed attempt next Thursday to get the challenge mode live after the maintenance. Until then, we can study the raid in hard mode or take care of the new weekly mission, which is available starting today.
This is the Strategic Mission on 7.6.
This mission consists of four individual tasks and has had no background story since the May update. You can complete the tasks within a week.
Eliminate 50 LMB mercenaries: Take down LMB mercenaries in the Dark Zone.
Convert 15 crafting materials: Convert crafting materials of standard (green) quality or higher into a higher quality.
100 weak point hits: Hit the weak points of enemies.
Complete 10 missions: As in every week, you can complete 10 main missions on the difficulty “Hard” or “Challenging”.
As a reward, you can earn 30 Phoenix Credits. Since most tasks can be completed alongside each other anyway, Massive isn’t generous with the best rewards here.
