In The Division, Update 1.2 is right around the corner, but there are already hints at possible content for the upcoming expansion “Underground”. Will “Broadcast Center” be the next incursion?
Little is currently known about the first major paid expansion: It will be called “Underground” and is set to be available on Xbox One starting June, with a release for PC and PS4 a month later. Agents will have to explore the underground world of The Division and face enemies in a seemingly endless network of tunnels.
Last Thursday, a brief moment in the Special Report on Update 1.2 (around minute 25) allowed us to catch a glimpse of the symbol of another unknown incursion, as the developers showcased the High Value Targets on the map: This one is called “Broadcast Center” and is located in the “Hell’s Kitchen” area. You can find the building north of the operations base and the Lincoln Tunnel:
“Broadcast Center” – a new incursion in The Division?
The Broadcast Center is a large building that likely has several floors. However, the exact nature of the incursion remains speculative at this time.
If Update 1.2 is released tomorrow, we will likely know a bit more about it. After all, we were able to recognize the symbol of the new incursion for 1.2 and read which faction we will be up against after the release of Update 1.1.
However, the past has shown that we should take this early information about incursions with caution. The title “Falkennest” ultimately became “Falcon Lost,” and “Zerbrochener Kreis” became “Clear Sky.” Even the previous in-game information about the gear score of “Zerbrochener Kreis” is not accurate.
It is therefore quite possible that the incursion “Broadcast Center” will appear under a different name. It is not even certain whether it will be introduced with the “Underground” expansion. The “Survive” and “Last Stand” expansions will also be released in the first year of The Division.
