Jesse Custer is an outwardly normal priest in a small town, who has an unholy past as a drunkard, smoker, and former criminal. One day he acquires a powerful ability, and after some supernatural events happen, he not only tries to understand everything but also to find God.
However, he is not alone in this quest. The Irish vampire Joseph and his ex-girlfriend Tulip join him on a journey through a world filled with demons, angels, and other supernatural beings.
Preacher is based on a comic by Garth Ennis, who is also responsible for the comics of The Boys. With Preacher, you can see how another of his works is adapted.
