The new shooter Valorant from Riot Games is currently all the rage. Even Twitch streamer Turner “Tfue” Tenney (22) has tried it out. While many other streamers are enthusiastic, he, as the streamer with the most followers on Twitch, is rather reserved.
What does Tfue say? While streamer Summit1g is convinced by Valorant and even claims it’s 10 times better than Overwatch, the well-known Fortnite player Tfue remains more reserved.
In a Twitch stream about Valorant, he was asked by viewers in the chat whether he would play the shooter more often. His answer sounded unconvinced:
It’s really boring, dude. I don’t like playing in a team, I prefer 1v1. […].
It’s a good game, but it’s boring. It’s definitely more for older people.
Tfue is known for preferring to play alone. He favors battle royale games like H1Z1 or Fortnite. He owes his rise on Twitch primarily to Fortnite.
Valorant, on the other hand, heavily focuses on team play and a group of 5 players.
Tfue doesn’t believe kids will play Valorant
Valorant is too slow for Tfue: In the livestream, the Twitch streamer emphasizes several times that the shooter is simply too slow for him. He says that Valorant is a good game in itself, but the lack of pace should lead to older people playing Valorant:
It’s so damn slow. Kids are not going to play this shit. It’s more of a patient, strategic game, for old men, you know?
With 7.9 million followers, 22-year-old Turner “Tfue” Tenney is the biggest streamer on Twitch.
Valorant is a hit on Twitch: That Valorant is played so slowly and strategically does not seem to be a big disadvantage. Currently, the shooter is extremely popular on Twitch. It benefits from the fact that there are beta keys via Twitch Drops.
However, many of our readers here on MeinMMO are also interested in Valorant.
It seems to be a really good time for shooter fans who have the choice between “battle royale” titles like Fortnite or CoD: Warzone or tactical games like Rainbow Six Siege or Valorant.
