Rank 7: Seiko Ayase
The last place in this ranking goes to the protagonist Momo’s grandmother. Seiko is a skilled ghost seer. Her true power lies in channeling the strength of the local gods within her home area. This is also her greatest disadvantage: she is bound to one location and thus weaker away from her home.
Her greatest asset is her extensive knowledge of ghosts. She supports the protagonists with her knowledge and can also swing a baseball bat pretty hard. Another strength is her youth: when we are old, we want to look as good as Seiko!
Rank 6: Evil Eye
Directly in season 2, the story continues with the Evil Eye. He is a yokai who has taken on the task of exterminating all humanity. In his original form, he can command people to commit suicide. However, in Jiji’s body, he has the ability to compress the grudges of others into a soccer ball.
The yokai can then shoot the ball at his opponents with such force that any football player in EA Sports FC would turn pale with envy. Conversely, he can also create a strong barrier, like the cursed house barrier, and reflect attacks. Due to his agility, Evil Eye becomes a serious opponent.
Rank 5: Momo Ayase
Momo is the protagonist of Dandadan and one of the few humans who made it into this ranking. The girl possesses telekinetic powers that she can use in versatile ways. That is also her greatest strength: she can think quickly in battles and use her powers creatively.
This includes Momo’s ability to suppress curses or throw heavy objects at enemies. She can even heal others. Of the whole group, she is the one who formulates the plans. Without Momo’s clever head, Okarun would likely have been in trouble much earlier. We are curious to see what powers she will develop further.
Rank 4: Turbo Granny
The Turbo Granny is the strongest yokai seen in the anime so far. She is especially known for her superhuman speed, even though she has the appearance of an old lady whom you would want to help across the street. She is a serious opponent because she can possess any body and curse others who cannot run away from her.
The curse can even extend to additional targets. She then kills her opponents by inducing cardiac arrest or internal bleeding. This makes her a serious opponent. Luckily, Okarun can use her powers for his own advantage.
