Ally from the Planes
The allies from the planes include 3 different summons that you can choose one for support: a Deva, a Djinni, or a Cambion.
All 3 are powerful support in battles, as they all have a solid to really impressive amount of HP. Additionally, they have special abilities that make them useful in various situations. This is why there is a second, smaller ranking of the three creatures from the planes included in this ranking.
3rd Place – Cambion: The Cambion has 82 HP and an armor class of 14, which is solid, but cannot match the other two allies. Still, he is an excellent choice for targets that are weak to fire damage. He can fly, cast 3 fire rays at enemies, and can also deal significant psychic damage if he kisses a charmed target.
2nd Place – Djinni: The Djinni already has 161 HP and an armor class of 19, allowing him to withstand a lot. He can use Thunderwave, teleport with Misty Step, hold enemies in a whirlwind, or intoxicate targets with a breath – definitely an extraordinary ability that only Djinn can master.
1st Place – Deva: The Deva has a total of 136 HP and an armor class of 21, making him clearly able to compete with a regular companion in this regard. He can not only fly and frighten enemies with a “Angry Strike” – once per long rest, he can revive a fallen teammate. This can decide victory or defeat in many battles.
The Deva is definitely the most powerful ally from this group and can be a great help in virtually any fight, but Cambion or Djinni are also quite powerful allies that may even surpass the Deva in certain situations.
