Ghouls of the Dance of the Dead (Danse Macabre)
The ghouls from the Dance of the Dead spell are not so easy to obtain, which is why they only reached the fourth place on this list. If you want to learn how to summon them through the spell, you first need to deal with a special book that can be found in the first act of the game.
If you successfully decipher the book and its secrets, you can summon 4 ghouls simultaneously once per long rest. These will fight on your side and can incapacitate a target with their paralyzing claws if the target fails its Constitution saving throw.
The 4 ghouls of the Dance of the Dead are a very strong support due to their number, especially because of the number of fighting creatures. However, they are not controllable and attack all hostile objects freely without any guidance. The other summons on the list act a bit more “strategically”.
