Rank 1: Darth Sidious
No one should be surprised by this rank 1, who knows the Emperor even slightly. He is not only one of the strongest Sith Lords in the galaxy, but specifically also intimately familiar with the Force at the highest level.
Very well-known and often used in the films are the Force lightning with which he fries his enemies. He can also summon the Force storm, as he demonstrates in Episode 9, bringing countless starships down from the sky. This Force – haha – demonstration immediately places Palpatine on the podium of this ranking.
His other achievements almost seem secondary when he deceives the entire Jedi Council, or faces off against Yoda and forces the old Jedi Master into exile. Palpatine is just lucky that Anakin hasn’t found his full strength; otherwise, the old bugger would have been blown off the Emperor’s throne.
