Place 2: Dragons

No creature in Game of Thrones symbolizes power and destruction quite like dragons. The winged monsters are equipped with deadly weapons: razor-sharp teeth, claws, and, of course, their fire breath. They could also grow incredibly large, easily burying entire houses beneath them.
Their immense strength particularly helped House Targaryen gain power. About three centuries before the events of Game of Thrones, it was Aegon the Conqueror who united and conquered the realm with his dragons.
Once, these powerful creatures lived throughout Westeros and Essos. However, after being used as weapons in wars for many years, they gradually went extinct. After the Targaryens’ civil war, it took nearly 200 years for the 3 dragons of Daenerys to be born. The last remaining dragon is likely Drogon, who disappears to the east at the end of the series.
