Izanagi’s Burden
What makes this sniper special: This sniper rifle is the only exotic sniper in the kinetic slot. The weapon has a fire rate in the 90s, placing it in the middle ground between rapid-fire snipers and slower, harder-hitting rifles like the Whisper of the Worm.
These perks are particularly good for PvP: With an exotic, you typically can’t change perks and must settle for the provided ones. Thanks to the “Sharpened Blade” ability, you can compress up to four shots into a projectile and deal significantly increased damage with this “super shot”.
In PvP, you can send a Guardian to the virtual beyond with just a body shot. It is even possible to take out some not-too-armored supers, such as the Hammer Titan, with a body shot. However, you need to have the catalyst for this.
The catalyst further increases the damage of “sharpened blade”. A charged headshot will naturally take down everything, whether super or not.
How to get Izanagi’s Burden: The sought-after sniper was considered unreachable for some time. Currently, every Guardian can obtain the weapon through a long questline.
