Hermione and Ron are the second, and actually the penultimate canon couple on this list, that also appears in the real story. The ship name Romione comes from Ron and Hermione, the English version of Hermione.
As different as the two may be, they care for each other deeply: the always industrious and uptight Hermione, and the somewhat clumsy but lovable Ron. At first, they find each other a bit odd, and often clash. But over the years, a close relationship develops that is always a bit different than, for example, between Hermione and Harry. There are indeed some fanfictions about the two, but significantly fewer, which is why they just fell short of making it onto this list.
For many, it was simply clear from the very beginning: Ron and Hermione belong together. And this is also reflected in the many fanfictions. These often deal with the future of the two, their marriage, and their life with their children Rose and Hugo.
