In Dragon Ball, battles are the main focus, and of course, it revolves around who the strongest warrior on Earth or in the universe is. This has always been the case. Ten years ago, a movie explained whom a villain should avoid. Today, that seems a bit ridiculous.
Which movie is it about? In 2015, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F was released in Japan. The film was a sequel to Battle of Gods, featuring the return of Son Goku and his friends after many years. As the name suggests, Freezer is resurrected in the film after being killed by Future Trunks many years earlier.
Freezer wants to go directly to Earth to take revenge on the Saiyan. However, his subordinates warn him against flying straight to Earth because Goku has become much stronger. There, Sorbet, one of the subordinates, mentions that Goku defeated Majin Buu.
Freezer then recalls that his father warned him about two beings: Majin Buu and the God of Destruction Beerus. While Beerus still poses a threat today, Majin Buu is a forgotten side character who couldn’t do much even in the film before.
Freezer is currently stronger than ever
How has the balance of power changed in 10 years? At the time of the film, Goku and Vegeta were quite strong, but Beerus and Whis were on another level. In the film, Freezer was transformed into Golden Freezer, but Goku and Vegeta were able to defeat Golden Freezer, even with Whis needing to help.
In the series, Freezer remained relevant afterward. He was one of the fighters from Universe 7, defeating the warrior Jiren alongside Goku and C17. In the film Dragon Ball Super: Broly, he was thoroughly defeated by Broly.
However, in the manga, the situation is different currently. Due to the events in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, both Piccolo and Gohan have reached a similar level to Goku and Vegeta with their new forms.
But Freezer has changed too. He is as powerful as never before. In the manga of Dragon Ball Super, the iconic villain has been given a new form, and Black Freezer was able to easily defeat both Vegeta and Goku in their strongest form during the Granolah arc.
While the gods of destruction, along with Zeno, are still the most powerful beings in the universe, the dynamics among other warriors change regularly. For fans of the genre, this is also one of the biggest draws. Who knows, maybe Majin Buu will return to the fight with new strength.
Although the series has finished for now, it continues in the manga after a long break. There, in the future, the strongest warriors of Earth will likely face the powerful Freezer.
