Subnautica 2 will celebrate its launch in Early Access in just a few hours. Depending on where you are in the world, the release may be delayed. We will show you how it looks in Germany and what time you can log in.
What time does Early Access start? Early Access starts in Germany on May 14 at 5:00 PM German time. This is a preliminary, incomplete version of Subnautica 2.
What does Early Access mean? Many features will be added gradually over the development period. So don’t be surprised if the game comes with one or other issues.
How can I participate in Early Access? You can participate in Early Access by purchasing Subnautica 2 on Steam, in the Epic Games Store, or in the Xbox shop for almost €30 (source: x.com). After that, you will receive future updates of the game for free.
For some fans, the release cannot come soon enough. However, those who pre-ordered can at least download the game already.
Preload is already available, but not everywhere
Can I download Subnautica 2 already? Yes, the preload is currently supposed to be available only on Steam. In total, the game is up to 12.9 GB. Fans who purchased the game in the Epic Games Store or on Xbox will probably have to wait until the launch time.
Unfortunately, the status of the PlayStation or Switch version is still unknown. The developers have not yet commented on this. A release on these console platforms is possible at a later time – either at the 1.0 release or maybe even earlier.
It remains to be seen how fans will receive the new survival adventure, as Subnautica has quickly gained recognition as a brand, and for many it is the latest highlight in gaming.
