Baldur’s Gate 3 has received its first updates after the Early Access launch. In one of the patch notes, the developers reported a fix regarding the new graphics card GeForce RTX 3080. However, the developers do not own one because it sold out too quickly. Now they are asking Nvidia for help.
What is going on at Larian Studios? Baldur’s Gate 3 celebrated its launch on Early Access on Steam on October 6 and is currently receiving very positive feedback.
In one of the new patch notes, the developers at Larian Studios reported on their curious situation with the GeForce RTX 3080, where there apparently were graphical issues:
Graphical glitches on Nvidia 3080 cards have also been fixed.
Funny story: Since the card was so popular, we couldn’t find a graphics card to test with before the launch. We still don’t have one. At this point, we are pretty sure that you invented the RTX 3080. Prove to us that it exists by sending us a card.

So far, however, Nvidia has not publicly responded to this request.

RTX 3080 sold out quickly due to bots: Behind this funny story is a real problem. The RTX received very positive reviews in initial tests and was highly anticipated.
Even before the launch of the card, we at MeinMMO warned that you need to be quick to get one. And indeed, it sold out in a flash.
Also to blame are bots and resellers who want to sell the card for a higher price on eBay or other platforms. Nvidia now wants to take action against this, with manual checks of the orders.
Many fixes, especially for multiplayer
What else is in the game’s patch notes? After the launch of Baldur’s Gate 3, there was a lot of criticism regarding the multiplayer, which was deemed “unplayable” in many respects.
The last two hotfixes are said to have resolved the “most common crashes and multiplayer issues.” The remaining problems are already being addressed.

A tip from the developers was also to save regularly to avoid frustration in case of problems during Early Access. They approached players with humor regarding those who consider frequent saving as dishonorable:
We recommend saving frequently, and we will add more autosave points in the game to avoid time loss when you encounter a problem.
All you have to do is press F5. If you’re streaming, just create an overlay that hides when saving. Or pretend to cough. No one will really notice.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is an interesting RPG that even offers a multiplayer. Therefore, it is one of the titles that we at MeinMMO can particularly recommend to you in October.
