Prices of the Steam Machine are known!
The prices of the Steam Machine have been revealed on Steam. There are a total of 4 versions that you can preorder at Steam:
- 512 GB without controller: €1,039.00
- With controller: €1,108.00
- 2TB without controller: €1,359.00
- 2TB with controller: €1,428.00

dbrand, a Canadian manufacturer of high-quality skins and protective covers for your electronics, has introduced a new product: the Companion Cube from Portal (source: dbrand.com). This is a skin for your Steam Machine. You can now preorder this, but the intriguing detail is when you will receive the cube. dbrand gives a preliminary delivery date at the end of July. This means, either:
- They know when the sale of the Steam Machine will start, namely very soon
- The delivery date was poorly chosen

According to Pirate_Nation on X, there are insider information from people tracking hardware deliveries. Many boxes for the Steam Frame and Machine have apparently arrived in the warehouses of Valve in the USA. Preorders and reviews could therefore kick-off by the end of June.

Good afternoon and welcome to our live ticker. One of the most important leaks regarding the Steam Machine is the one on Geekbench. As reported by our colleagues at GameStar, there was a new entry for a device with the designation “Valve Fremont” – it is now suspected that this is actually the Steam Machine.
The tested device has its own AMD chip with 6 cores and 12 threads. The performance in single-core is at a value of 2,300, while in multi-core it reaches around 7,300 points. One might equate the performance with that of an entry-level to mid-range CPU.
There is still no data on GPU values and how efficiently this chip will work, but it is known that you can expect around 8GB of VRAM here.

A large portion opted for a console from Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo to be able to game comfortably on the TV. Therefore, Valve wanted to offer an option to bring PC gaming into your living room in a more compact form, and thus they created the Steam Machine.
After the Steam Deck became very popular with many, many are now looking forward to Valve’s new innovation. How good will the console be? Can the device deliver strong performance, and how expensive will it be? According to rumors, a release could be imminent, and to make sure you don’t miss anything, we will be tracking all channels in the coming days and providing you with the most important information about the upcoming console.
Steam Machine: Release may be imminent – Leaks and Rumors
When will the Steam Machine be released? According to an official blog post from Steam, the Steam Machine is supposed to be released alongside the Steam Frame in summer 2026 (source: steamcommunity.com). Unfortunately, there is no exact date for when this will happen.
However, according to leaks on XCancel, two dates can still be determined that could very likely serve as the release date: either June 22 or June 23.
June 22 is a Monday, and as with the Steam Controller, it was announced on a Monday and sold a week later.
The XCancel account “@HardwareSteam” reports from a source who claims that the review embargo for the console will be lifted on June 23. Just like with the Steam Controller, the device was also announced on the same day. Additionally, June is still perfectly summer, which means Valve could still keep its initial promise if they were to adhere to the leaker’s plan. However, this is still speculation without any official confirmations from Valve.
Is there an embargo? As already mentioned, there is a review video embargo for the Steam Machine according to HardwareSteam. This is supposed to end on June 23.
Is there information on the price? Unfortunately not, Valve has not shared any official information about this either. However, fans suspect a price between €900 – €1,200. Many factors, including the RAM crisis, are likely to influence the price and further burden the wallets of fans. We will update this section as soon as we have more information.
