Good day and welcome to our live ticker. One of the most important leaks regarding the Steam Machine is on Geekbench. As reported by our colleagues at GameStar, there was a new entry for a device named “Valve Fremont” – it is now suspected that this actually refers to the Steam Machine.

The tested device has its own AMD chip with 6 cores and 12 threads. The performance in single-core scoring is at a value of 2,300, while in multi-core it achieves 7,300 points. One might compare the performance to that of an entry-level to mid-range CPU.

Currently, there are no data on GPU values, and how efficiently this chip will operate is unknown, but it is known that you can expect around 8GB of VRAM here.

Steam Machine: Release could be imminent – Leaks and Rumors

When will the Steam Machine be released? According to an official blog post from Steam, the Steam Machine is supposed to be released alongside the Steam Frame in summer 2026 (Source: steamcommunity.com). Unfortunately, there is no exact date for when this will happen.

However, according to leaks on XCancel, two dates can be identified that could likely serve as the release date: either June 22 or June 23.

June 22 is a Monday, and as with the Steam Controller, it was announced on a Monday and sold a week later.

The XCancel account “@HardwareSteam” reports from a source that the review embargo for the console is supposed to lift on June 23. As with the Steam Controller, the device was then announced on the same day. Additionally, June is still perfectly in summer, which is why Valve could still keep its first promise if they stick to the leakers’ plan. However, these are still speculations without official confirmations from Valve.

Is there an embargo? As already mentioned, according to HardwareSteam, there is a review video embargo for the Steam Machine, which is supposed to end on June 23.

Are there any price details? Unfortunately no, there are no official details shared by Valve on this matter either. However, fans speculate a price between 900 – 1,200 €. Many factors, including the RAM crisis, are likely to influence the price and further burden the fans’ wallets. We will update this section as soon as we have more information.
