Starfield offers a huge selection of various planets and moons where you can build an outpost. We show you 5 of the best.
In Starfield, you can build an outpost and set up your own vacation home, place workbenches, and then manufacture various items or extract resources.
Building an outpost is indeed a worthwhile part of the gameplay in Starfield – so the choice of the planet where you want to establish your outpost is all the more important.
For our finalists, we traveled to most of the planets and moons in Starfield and examined them ourselves. The following made the cut:
- Andraphon
- Voss
- Cassiopeia I
- Porrima IV-d
- Eridani II
We will now briefly show you all 5 planets and moons in detail and explain why they are so good.
Are you looking for a strong ship to travel to these planets? Then we have the right video for you:
Andraphon
What makes the planet so good? Andraphon is a moon of the planet Sumati in the Narion system and particularly suitable as a first outpost, as it provides three resources necessary for many structures.
When you build an outpost, you need especially a lot of aluminum and iron. Additionally, if you supply your extractors with power from a generator, having a supply of Helium-3 is advantageous.
On Andrapho, you have the chance to extract both Helium-3 and iron and aluminum. You can also find the valuable Europium there.
Voss
Atmosphere: thin N2 | Magnetosphere: none Fauna: none | Flora: none |
Resources: Water, Lead, Nickel, Uranium, Cobalt, Tungsten, Vanadium, Dysprosium
What makes the planet so good? Voss is also a very good location for an outpost at the beginning and an ideal complement to Andraphon. Voss is the moon of Olivas in the “Alpha Centauri” system, which you will frequently visit during the main story.
Voss is a recommended outpost location as it also offers a good selection of important resources that are not available on Andraphon. In addition to nickel, cobalt, and uranium, tungsten is also present on the moon. There are also vanadium and dysprosium, which you can sell for a relatively high price.
Cassiopeia I
Atmosphere: Standard 02 | Magnetosphere: average | Fauna: moderate | Flora: moderate |
Resources: Water, Chlorine, Nickel, Copper, Fluorine, Cobalt
What makes the planet so good? Unlike Andraphon and Voss, we do not recommend Cassiopeia I because you can dig up useful resources there. Cassiopeia is particularly distinguished by its flora and fauna.
On the planet, you will find various living beings and plants and can walk on the planet’s surface without having to wear your helmet – perfect for your interstellar vacation home.
However, to ensure your outpost on Cassiopeia I is not just a useless holiday destination, you can also extract nickel, cobalt, and fluorine there.
Porrima IV-d
Atmosphere: none | Magnetosphere: none | Fauna: none | Flora: none |
Resources: Water, Lead, Nickel, Uranium, Argon, Carbonic acid, Neon, Plutonium
What makes the planet so good? We recommend Porrima IV-d as a mining outpost where you can earn money, as you can extract the valuable resources carbonic acid, neon, and especially plutonium on the moon of Porrima IV-d.
On Porrima IV-d, you also don’t have to worry about extraterrestrial creatures attacking your outpost: there is no fauna.
A plutonium farm on Porrima IV-d is also one of our 5 tips on how to earn money quickly and legally in Starfield.
Eridani II
Atmosphere: Standard 02 | Magnetosphere: average | Fauna: moderate | Flora: moderate |
Resources: Water, Chlorine, Copper, Nickel, Iron, Fluorine, Cobalt, Gold
What makes the planet so good? Eridani 2 is not only a beautiful planet with moderate flora and fauna, it combines the qualities of a decent vacation home with some useful resources.
In addition to iron, which is needed for building an outpost and manufacturing many resources, the planet offers copper, nickel, cobalt, and the relatively valuable gold in Starfield.
You can also explore the planet without a helmet and swim in clean water without worrying about your health.
If that’s not enough: Eridani 2 is in Halo the human-inhabited planet “Reach”.
Do you know of any other planets or moons that are worth establishing an outpost on? Then feel free to leave us a comment and let us know what makes them special.
