Not all legendary items can be found quickly in Diablo 4. Blizzard has introduced six of the rarest uniques, many players thought they wouldn’t even exist. The unique items are so rare that fans are now frustrated.
Which items are we talking about? The six rarest uniques have very special bonuses and can only be obtained at a high level. These include the following items:
- Fatalisbringer
- The Grandfather
- Ring of the Starless Skies
- Andariel’s Visage
- Harlequin’s Crown
- Melted Heart of the Blessed
Since the existence of these items was doubted by players, Blizzard released some information about obtaining these items. A Blizzard employee explained that these items only drop when killing level 85+ and that they are indeed very rare.
If you manage to obtain a unique at all, there is still a very small chance that it is one of the six uniques mentioned at the beginning.

The items should be found anywhere that other uniques can also be found. A user took the effort to list the possible locations of all six items. However, even with this knowledge, it takes a large portion of luck for one of the coveted items to drop at your feet.
What do players say about this? There is a lot of discontent on Twitter. A user named maximum, for example, states that these items do not exist for him physically, as he would have to farm for so long:
Another user complains that the drop rate for these items needs to be increased. If Blizzard has to prove their existence and only a few players out of millions of play hours possess one of the six rarest uniques, the drop probability should be increased.
Paul Tassi compares the chance of getting such a unique to “getting struck by lightning”. The uniques are no longer about farming, but about luck. So far, only two of the items have been found by millions of players.
Are the items really that important? The rarity of the unique items has a reason: The respective bonus on the items is extremely useful. The Harlequin’s Crown, for example, grants you +4 to all your class skills and should therefore not be missing in any build.
Also, the second effect is quite nice: It grants percentage damage reduction. Accordingly, most builds in the tier list of Diablo 4 are built around this legendary item.
The Grandfather is also noteworthy, as it provides a large amount of additional damage. Andariel’s Visage and the Fatalisbringer deal additional area damage, making them also extremely useful uniques.
