Valorant closed beta starts soon
When does the closed beta start?
- The closed beta starts on April 7, 2020, at 2:00 PM German time
- The release will take place in the summer. Riot wants to keep the closed beta phase as short as possible. The fewer problems arise, the sooner the release will take place
Here’s how to participate:
- Register an account on the Riot homepage
- Link your Riot account with your Twitch account (Via Twitch.tv)
- Once the closed beta starts, pay attention to the stream highlights on Twitch
The number of available beta slots depends on the server capacity of Valorant and will increase during the beta.
Progress in the closed beta will not carry over to the finished game. If you purchase VALORANT points during the beta, you will receive them back with a 20% bonus at release. The points can be used to purchase cosmetic items in the shop.
This is Riot’s Valorant
Valorant is a new free-to-play shooter from the makers of LoL. It was originally announced as Project A and is primarily aimed at fans of tactical shooters.
In terms of gameplay, it is similar to shooters like Counter-Strike. The firearms with their various shooting patterns are in the foreground.
There are precise weapons for shots at long distances, weapons for shorter ranges, and even the classic knife for close combat. A headshot usually ensures that an opponent is taken out immediately.
The characters in Valorant, called agents, also each have a personality and different abilities.
