Sony has just announced the new PS Plus free games for February 2020. We take a look at which new monthly PS Plus games subscribers can look forward to for their PS4 this time and present them to you compactly.
In February, there are a total of three new free games waiting for PlayStation Plus members – actually even 5:
- BioShock: The Collection (includes 3 games)
- The Sims 4
- Firewall Zero Hour (PSVR required)
Normally, PS Plus comes with 2 free PS4 games each month. However, there were already the first 3 parts of the Uncharted franchise in January, but only the Goat Simulator as the second game. This time, there is also a VR game on top. You have only a few days left to download the PS Plus games from January.
When exactly will these PS Plus games be available? The new free PlayStation 4 games can be downloaded starting February 4 as a digital download in the PlayStation Store. The download should be available to all PS Plus subscribers by noon.

BioShock: The Collection
What is BioShock: The Collection? Games in the BioShock series are first-person shooters that also feature some role-playing and horror survival elements.
BioShock: The Collection is a compilation of previous BioShock titles. This collection includes all single-player content from BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite, including all released single-player add-ons for these games. Additionally, BioShock and BioShock 2 have been specially adapted for PlayStation 4 technology, meaning they are remastered versions. In principle, you get three games here.
You take on the role of the only survivor of a plane crash who ends up in the secret underwater city of Rapture. This city is a kind of social experiment that has failed, and now they are trying to get out as quickly as possible. Because there are all sorts of terrible dangers lurking there.
Along the way, you experience many exciting stories, told in a very captivating way, and shoot your way through the ruins of a once elite society in classic shooter style, using cool abilities – all set against a fantastic backdrop and accompanied by fantastic sound.
Part 2 of BioShock continues the story in Rapture, and BioShock Infinite then takes the series above water for the first time. It goes on with exciting adventures in the flying city of Columbia.
Who should consider BioShock: The Collection? Basically, anyone who enjoys shooters even a little and has missed the BioShock games so far. But also for anyone who wants to experience BioShock in a new light. If you appreciate solid shooter mechanics, a great atmosphere, and exciting stories, you won’t go wrong with this collection – especially not for free.

The Sims 4
What is The Sims 4? The Sims 4 is a life simulation where you can unleash your creativity. With an extensive editor, you create and design so-called Sims. These are virtual people with dynamic personalities who are influenced by their environment.
You build the perfect home for them, explore vibrant worlds with them, send them to work, school, university, on vacation, or to parties and outings. In short – you control their lives, their social environment, and their development.
The goal is to best respond to their emotions and needs – or not. Your decisions have tangible effects on their development and significantly influence their existence – from birth, through childhood, to adulthood and death.
The game offers a plethora of add-ons that can bring all sorts of variety and fresh air into virtual life.
Who should consider The Sims 4? Those who enjoy crafting properties and characters with extensive tools will find this wonderful here. In Sims 4, you will have your hands quite full.
Even those who have always wanted to manage the life of a virtual character or entire families in everyday life will not go wrong here. Satisfying the needs of the Sims while maintaining their social integrity can keep you quite busy.
In principle, the game is a kind of sitcom, and you are the director. If you’ve always wanted to try this role, you won’t go wrong for free. And if you like the game, the experience can be enormously expanded.

Firewall Zero Hour
What is Firewall Zero Hour? Firewall Zero Hour is a first-person shooter that is played exclusively in VR, meaning virtual reality. Therefore, the PSVR headset from PlayStation is strictly required.
The game is played in a team-oriented 4vs4 format. Two mercenary teams compete against each other and must retrieve or protect a laptop with secret data in various scenarios. There are various PvP and PvE modes.
As a player, you control one of 12 characters with different abilities and choose weapons and equipment to take into the battle. You can control your character using the DualShock 4 controller or the specially designed Aim controller for PSVR.
Completed matches earn you experience points that you can use to upgrade your character. Furthermore, you receive in-game currency, which you can use to purchase characters, as well as weapons and upgrades.
Who should consider Firewall Zero Hour? If you own a PSVR headset and enjoy shooters, you cannot miss Firewall Zero Hour on PS4. If you enjoy immersive firefights on well-designed maps with impressive scenery and have always wanted to feel right in the midst of wild shootouts or tactical raids, then Firewall Zero Hour is the game for you – especially if you own an Aim controller.

How do I get these free PS Plus games?
To do this, you need an active subscription to PlayStation Plus. This is a paid add-on service from Sony. Currently, you pay about €60 for a yearly membership.
