In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, there are codes with which you can secure free items through Mystery Gifts. Everything you need to know can be found here.
What Mystery Gifts are currently available? Through Mystery Gifts, you can get various items and Pokémon for free on different occasions. Some need codes, while others can be secured simply through an internet connection.
Currently, there are the following Mystery Gifts:
- PREPAR1NG: Max Revive x 5, Full Restore x 10, Ultra Balls x 10
- No Code: Project M, Mewtunit X, Mewtunit Y
- Main campaign completion required
- No Code: Diancite Stone with Extra Mission
- By receiving a Mystery Gift, you get the Diancite Stone and the Extra Mission “Shine Bright like a Gemstone.” With this stone, you can also facilitate Diancite to a Mega Evolution.
- No Code: Trasla with Gardevoirnite
- Received if you have a Nintendo Account and internet (subscription not required) and purchase the game before February 28, 2026
- Individual Code: 100 Poké Balls
- When purchasing the digital version of the game by March 10, 2026
- Individual Code: 3 Turbo Balls, 3 Heavy Balls, 3 Level Balls, 3 Lure Balls
- When purchasing the Mega Dimensions DLC by March 10, 2026
Note that you need an existing internet connection for the gifts and that they can only be redeemed once. The individual codes will be sent to you via email with your purchase.

Entering Codes – How to Get Mystery Gifts
When can you get Mystery Gifts? You unlock the feature after you have spoken to Magnolia for the first time in the third main quest. This takes about an hour of gameplay, assuming you don’t stray off the path.
How to redeem codes? Open the menu using the X button. Then go to the “Multiplayer/Online” section and find the “Mystery Gift” field there.
You then have the option between the following points:
- Receive via internet
- Receive via serial code/password
- Check Mystery Gifts
If you have a code that you want to enter, you need to select the second option and simply enter and confirm the code. You will find your Mystery Gift under the last point in the previous view.
Attention: You need an existing internet connection for this. However, a subscription is not required – you only need a Nintendo Account.
For all these gifts, you do not need a subscription. If you are quick after release, you can also secure a special Mega Evolution. However, you do need the subscription for that, which could be worth it for many: If you grind fast enough, you can receive a limited-time Mega Evolution in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, but you do need a subscription for that
