In Pokémon Legends A-Z, you need to evolve some creatures using the trade function. Here you will find all the important codes so you don’t have to look for friends to do this.
What are the codes for? X-User @AustinJohnPlays shared a collection of various codes in his post, to which he assigned specific Pokémon. You can then use these codes through the trade function to specifically trade Pokémon that only evolve through trading.
This way, you can find players who want to trade the same creature without needing friends who are willing to trade with you. You can learn what codes are available and how to use them here.

Using trade codes – here’s how
How do the codes work? The codes are meant to ensure that as many players in the community learn about and use them to help each other. To carry out a code trade, follow these steps:
- Select the appropriate code from the list and have the corresponding Pokémon ready
- Open your menu and follow the path: Multiplayer/Online → Link Trade → Remote Players → Link Code
- Then enter the trade code from the list and wait – this can unfortunately take a while
- If a suitable trade partner is found who uses the same code, you can carry out the trade
- Once you have traded, your desired Pokémon will evolve
Make sure that your trade partner really offers the desired Pokémon and possibly also the right item for trading. Additionally, be careful not to accidentally trade your rare shinies.
The system relies on trust and on as many players as possible using these codes. It can also happen that you may not find anyone using the code at the same time. Just try again later.
Especially when you’re on the hunt for shinies, it may take quite a while until you achieve your desired goal. However, you can easily catch a shiny Pokémon during a side quest.
