All Community Days from 2022 at a glance
What are Community Days? Every month, Pokémon GO hosts a so-called Community Day. During this event, a specific monster is highlighted and can be found at almost every corner in the game. The short event is also accompanied by a lot of bonuses, an increased shiny chance, and special event attacks.
What is a C-Day Classic? Since 2022, there is also the format of the Community Day Classic in addition to the monthly Community Days. This also revolves around a predetermined monster; however, it has already been featured in its own Community Day in the past.
We have summarized all Community Days and Community Day Classics from 2022 for you below.
1. Seemops
The Community Day kickoff for 2022 was the Ice and Water Pokémon Seemops. This took place on January 16 and spanned a total of 6 event hours, during which you were able to catch the blue round seal. If you evolved the monster into Walraisa during this time, it learned the event attack “Powder Snow.” The event was rounded off by a 3-fold catch XP.
2. Bisasam
A few days later, Bisasam celebrated the debut of the first C-Day Classic in the game. During a 3-hour event, you could catch the small plant Pokémon and evolve it into Bisaflor to secure the attack “Flora Statue.” Just like with Seemops, there was also a 3-fold XP bonus when catching.
3. Hoppspross
In February, a 6-hour Community Day followed with the Plant and Flying Pokémon Hoppspross, which brought you a 3-fold Stardust bonus when catching as well as additional Raid passes. By catching its evolved form Hubelupf, you secured corresponding XL candies. Upon evolving to Papungha, it received the event attack “Acrobatics.”
4. Sandan & Alola-Sandan
In March, two event Pokémon awaited you at the Community Day: Sandan and Alola-Sandan. As in the previous months, the event again lasted for 6 hours, during which you could catch and evolve diligently.
Sandamer learned Night Slash during this time due to the evolution, and his Alola variant learned Dark Claw. In addition, you could benefit from a fourfold hatching speed for eggs.
Here you can find an overview of all Pokémon that you can get from eggs in Pokémon GO.
5. Hydropi
In April, the Community Day Classic finally returned and brought you the Water Pokémon Hydropi. Just like Bisasam, it had also already featured its own C-Day in the past. During the three event hours, you could benefit from triple catch XP and secure the attack “Aqua Cannon” when evolving into Sumpex.
6. Velursi
The regular Community Day in April finally brought you a completely new Pokémon. The Normal and Fighting Pokémon Velursi made its debut in the game and could also be caught directly as Shiny.
In addition, you could benefit from numerous bonuses on this day, such as triple catch XP, double candies when catching, and trading bonuses. Kosturso, the evolution of Velursi, also learned the event attack “Take Down” upon evolving.
With this event, Niantic also decided to shorten the event times of Community Days in the future to 3 hours, which led to severe reactions in the community:
7. Alola-Kleinstein
May brought you a Community Day with Alola-Kleinstein. During this event, you could secure the event attack “Waltz” when evolving into Alola-Geowaz and benefit from double candies and triple Stardust when catching throughout the event period.
By catching larger quantities of monsters around PokéStops with lure modules, you also had the chance to further improve your Stardust bonus.
8. Kapuno
In June, you could enjoy the Dragon Pokémon Kapuno at the Community Day. This Pokémon is usually rather rare in the game and also has a really strong evolution.
In addition to the event attack “Whirlwind,” which Trikephalo was able to learn upon evolving, the C-Day also brought you a lot of bonuses. For example, you could benefit from double catch candies, an increased chance for XL candies, and quadruple hatching speed for eggs. Also, one or the other trading bonus was included again.
Another highlight of this event was the introduction of special level-4 raids with Duodino, in which you could only participate on-site, and which provided you with further Kapuno spawns around the arena after the actual C-Day.
9. Staralili
In July, the Community Day brought you the Normal and Flying Pokémon Staralili, which you could catch for the first time in its shiny form. By evolving into Staraptor, you could also secure the event attack “Wind Blast.”
In addition, there were again special XP and candy bonuses when catching, as well as advantages when trading. After the C-Day, you again had the opportunity to participate in special level-4 raids with Staravia.
10. Galar-Zigzachs
In August, the Dark and Normal Pokémon Galar-Zigzachs was the focus of the Community Day, bringing you a lot of candies and Stardust when catching. By evolving into Barrikadax, the monster secured the event attack “Blocker.” In subsequent level-4 raids with Geradaks, you had the opportunity to encounter more Galar-Zigzachs.
11. Kiesling
The Community Day in September revolved around the Rock Pokémon Kiesling. If you evolved it into Brockoloss on this day, it received the special event attack “Meteor Beam.” The event also gave you a lot of candies and special trading bonuses, as well as a fourfold hatching distance for eggs.
On this day, you could also benefit from special level-4 raids after the event.
12. Lichtel
The October C-Day brought you a long-awaited shiny debut. The Ghost and Fire Pokémon Lichtel was the highlight of the day. You could evolve it into Laternecto to Skelabra to get the event attack “Poltergeist.” The event was rounded off with the usual trading and candy bonuses, triple XP when catching, and subsequent level-4 raids.
By the way: Skelabra, Lichtel’s final evolution, is one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO. You can see which strong monsters are also in the game in the following video:
13. Dratini
In the last Community Day Classic of the year, everything revolved around the small Dragon Pokémon Dratini. By evolving through Dragonir to Dragoran, it received the event attack “Draco Meteor” on that day. In addition, you could benefit from triple Stardust when catching.
14. Teddiursa
In November, you were treated to another Community Day, highlighting Teddiursa. For the first time, you could evolve the Normal Pokémon into Ursaring and then to Ursaluna, which learned the attack “Strength.” The special thing about this evolution is that you can only secure Ursaluna after the event during a full moon.
Additionally, the event again provided you with candy and Stardust bonuses when catching, as well as some advantages when trading. After the C-Day, you could also encounter Ursaring in level-4 raids.
How strong Ursaluna is, we have summarized for you here.
15. Community Day in December
To conclude the year, the big “Community Day” weekend took place again in December 2022. Unlike the other C-Days, this one spanned two event days, during which you could encounter monsters from the Community Days of the past months for three hours each.
Pokémon from 2021 also returned for these days. So you had the chance to encounter Machollo, Evoli, Roselia, Wablu, Zwirrlicht, Sheinux, Kaumalat, Serpifeu, Floink, Ottaro, and Dartiri.
In addition to numerous bonuses, such as double XP, candy, and Stardust when catching or a shorter hatching distance, the Pokémon could again learn their respective event attack when evolving on that day.
Which Community Day did you enjoy the most in 2022? And what is the reason you chose this monster? Feel free to share your opinion here on MeinMMO in the comments and exchange ideas with other trainers.
