A trainer received 100 wins in Pokémon GO due to a glitch in the battle league for the limited-time GO battle research. What it’s all about can be found out here.
What is the limited-time GO battle research? The limited-time GO battle research is a research task that you can pick up for free in the shop. This lasts as long as the current battle league season runs. It consists of 5 parts, where you must achieve 100 wins in the GO battle league for each part.
You will receive stardust for every 10 wins and also bonus items for completing each part. These include XL candies and, in the later parts, even elite TMs. By the way, you can also collect a lot of stardust in the current event Winter Wishes
.
As a trainer reported on Reddit, he has now completed the 100 wins needed for each part of the research. He needed significantly fewer battles than one would initially suspect. In fact, just one single battle.
Glitch leads to 100 wins in research with just a single battle
What did the trainer do? The trainer reports that he simply conducted the battle as usual. When he was about to charge the final charge attack that would earn him the victory, his opponent apparently closed the app. This caused the battle to freeze for the trainer.
He then reopened Pokémon GO after a minute and was surprised when he suddenly received many notifications about wins in the battle league. He found that this one battle was counted as 100 wins, allowing him to immediately complete one part of the battle league research successfully.
This allowed him to collect a lot of stardust in one go. As another trainer collected almost 30,000 stardust with a single throw, we summarized it for you.
What does the community say about it? Several trainers report that this glitch has happened to them as well. Yes, this happened to me on the first day of the season
, reports one trainer. Another writes, The same happened to me a few days ago, but the wins were at 50-60
.
What does Niantic say about it? Niantic has not yet commented on this glitch. It remains to be seen whether and when this glitch will be fixed.
